Danielle is a high-performance sport Physiotherapist with extensive experience in supporting elite and professional athletes across national team, Olympic, and professional sport environments. She has expertise in injury assessment, rehabilitation, return-to-play planning, and integrated support team collaboration.  Treatments with Danielle often combine advanced rehabilitation techniques, sport-specific exercise, dry needling and muscle stimulation, and multisport knowledge to help you perform at your highest level. Bilingual in English and French, Danielle delivers evidence-based care with clear communication and empathy.

Danielle treats a wide variety of conditions, applying her "pro-athlete" lens to:

  • Sports Injuries: Rapid recovery for runners, soccer players, and local athletes.
  • Surgical Rehabilitation: Expert guidance following ACL repairs, joint replacements, or spinal surgery.
  • Everyday Longevity: Managing arthritis, workplace ergonomics, and age-related mobility challenges.
  • Integrated Wellness: Collaborating with Zenith’s Pilates Instructors to provide a seamless transition from clinical treatment to functional movement.

Danielle is currently exploring living seasonally on the beautiful south shore of Nova Scotia, and she's looking forward to supporting the Zenith community in any way she can.

Education

Danielle graduated from Dalhousie's School of Physiotherapy in 2010. Prior to pursuing her physiotherapy education, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (BSc Kin) with Honours from Acadia University, where she was awarded the Haley Cup at the top female graduate for contributions to athletics, academics and extracurriculars.

Danielle holds certifications in both Sport Physiotherapy and Dry Needling & Acupuncture.

Career

Danielle's career has ranged from orthopaedic clinical care to international sporting events. She has enjoyed working with Hockey Canada, Rugby Canada, and professional soccer, and has provided physiotherapy coverage and performance support at major international events including the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Women's Hockey World Championships, Pan American Games, HSBC 7s World Series, and the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
