Classes for all ages and fitness levels

Physio Pilates Mat - Level 1 is a therapeutic class focused on improving posture and balance, decreasing joint stiffness, and developing core strength. Perfect for older adults interested in improving their general health and well-being, and also a great starting point for anyone recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.

Physio Pilates Mat - Level 2 is designed for active, healthy living, this class will further develop your standing balance, core strength, and spine flexibility.

Physio Pilates Mat - Level 3 is designed to prevent and treat athletic injuries through core strength and muscle balance. A great cross-training tool for sport and life, suitable for the weekend warrior to the elite athlete.

Springboards - An equipment-based Physio Pilates workout that use springs and levers attached to a wall-mounted “Springboard”. The resistance of the springs can be used either to resist movement in order to build strength or to assist movement in order to improve flexibility.

Happy Pelvis Pilates - This is a combination class designed to iron out muscular imbalances which can contribute to pelvis, hip and lower back pain. We use the Pilates Springboards and the Large Stability Ball to relax and lengthen tight muscles around the pelvis and hips, and to develop strength in both “cores” – the pelvis/lower abdomen and the shoulder girdles – in order to alleviate strain on the pelvis and surrounding areas.

Pilates for Strong Bones - This class is appropriate for people who have Osteoporosis or Osteopenia (low bone density). With a diagnosis of Osteoporosis it can be difficult to know how to exercise safely. Exercise (or rather, the right exercise) is known to be a great treatment for Osteoporosis and can help improve bone density, maintain a tall spinal posture, and improve balance/ reduce the risk of falls. This class focuses on dynamic weight-bearing and participants are taught safe exercise and activities for living with Osteoporosis.

Pilates + Stretch - A new morning class to help you limber up for the day ahead. Flow rhythmically through strengthening and stretching movements that will leave your whole-body feeling grateful.

Pre & Post Natal Pilates - a special class to prepare your body for pregnancy and delivery, and restore your core after birth. Designed to prevent and treat low back and pelvic pain, to prepare the pelvis and pelvic floor muscles for delivery and enhance recovery, and to improve core stability and strength.

* Pre and post-natal classes are offered when we have enough interested participants. Busy moms don't always make time for themselves, unfortunately. If you are interested in one of these classes please call us to see what can be arranged.
