Acupuncture has been shown scientifically to achieve analgesic, anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects.

What is Acupuncture?

It is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is used to correct and restore the flow of bioelectrical energy (called Qi) in the body.

Qi (pronounced "chee") serves to nourish and instruct our cells, organs and tissues, and enables them to carry out their normal physiological functions. When this electrical energy, or Qi, becomes blocked, pain may result.

Acupuncture needles are fine, sterile needles which when inserted are usually painless, and are often not felt at all. Many people find acupuncture treatments very relaxing.

The practice of acupuncture is holistic. It recognizes patterns connecting mental, emotional and physical imbalance, and its aim is to treat the root cause of disease as well as its symptoms.

What can Acupuncture treat?

It is helpful in treating numerous conditions, including pain, digestive and gynaecological disorders, insomnia, fatigue, and more. It is also helpful in promoting relaxation and improving mental and emotional health.
